DIN-2441

DIN 2441 is the German standard for Heavy-Weight Threaded Steel Tubes, representing the thickest and most durable grade in the DIN series for fluid conveyance. It is the German equivalent to the IS 1239 Heavy (Red) or BS 1387 Heavy classes. These pipes are specifically engineered for high-stress environments and systems operating under greater mechanical or internal pressure than standard plumbing, such as steam lines, high-pressure compressed air, and critical industrial chemical transport.

The defining characteristic of DIN 2441 is its increased wall thickness, which provides a significant safety margin against corrosion and physical impact. Manufactured from St 33.2 grade steel, these tubes are designed for excellent weldability while maintaining the structural integrity required for a maximum working pressure of 16 bar for water and steam.
